The conceptual robot for 2057 has a robust baseplate at the bottom, cameras and sensors embedded at the front, and has a detachable cylindrical battery block to keep it powered for those long demanding tasks.
In order to provide shelter and safety on an outing, the robot transformation from walk-mode to protection-mode with air-tubes fitted in the robot’s legs automatically blown out for a tent, still keeping its devices, interfaces, tools and storage spaces accessible to the occupant.
